Because of the limitations of the original linear layout, the design challenge was to break up the linear design with a new structure that included a sanctuary, seating 450, additional classroom spaces, and a new narthex. The main level contains the narthex, sanctuary, and restroom facilities while the lower level contains the classroom facilities.
